Kaleidescope is an installation that consists of seven mirrored panels fixed together into a box-like device. It reflects the world of possibilities each recycled capsule can take to form something new and beautiful.
The words, “Doing is Everything” is repeatedly reflected as you peek in, emphasizing the importance of taking action, and in this case, to reuse and recycle.

I’m finally able to show my final artwork to the public. Thanks to @hotlinkred for the trust to bring this massive piece to life. Also, a blessing to have @kernwei and his team shoot the best documentary of me. It’s been an exciting few months with the strongest team to work on this. Hope you guys will be inspired. 🙏🏼

“the beads on a bead curtain in his house to keep track of what he learned”
- Jishi Zhu (Memory Beads), Meng (2003, 2004).
‘Memory Veil’ reinserts this ornamental element as the ‘veil’ of Pavilion’s entrance. Strands of red strings hung from a structure of a geometric tiger pattern form the gateway that invites the public to come through. The five red ‘curtain’ creates an illusion of traditional Chinese arches that subtly moves with the wind, with views that shift as one moves through the space. ‘Memory Veil’ recollects familiar memories of our past and embraces visitors into a prosperous new year ahead.

人 - Humanity
The arches are derived from the Chinese word 人. It also resonates with the roof structure of vernacular architecture in Malaysia from different cultures and ethnicities.
The arches metaphors the people are the ones who uphold the culture and identity, bracing the wrecked and bleak concrete.
